OnePlus Releases New 7 Series
OnePlus have really shaken things up with the release of the OnePlus 7 series. Instead of just the one Flagship device, they have now provided the public with a range of devices. The OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro. The OnePlus 7 is the spiritual successor to the OnePlus 6, updated with faster internals, improved vibration monitor and a highly accurate in-screen fingerprint scanner. The OnePlus 7 Pro is their most advanced handset to be released to date, featuring a notch-less screen and a pop-up camera.
One Plus 7
The device looks similar to what we have already seen from the brand previously, however it’s not an unappealing look. There is an in-screen fingerprint scanner which has been re-worked for higher accuracy compared to the previous model. As well as being embedded in the screen, the fingerprint scanner on the OnePlus 7 is also larger than the one on the 6T, which makes it easier to use. It also includes stereo speakers to allow for fantastic sound quality directly from the device.
One Plus 7 Features
Packed with new features, such as ‘Zen Mode’: this feature allows you to timeout your phone for a period of 20 minutes to give you an allocated break from using your phone. It also includes a screen recording app, very similar to the feature we have seen before on Apple devices. This will allow you to record whatever you may be doing on the screen of your device at any moment, a useful tool for guides or YouTube videos!
One Plus 7 Pro
Following in the footsteps of lots of manufacturers recently, the OnePlus 7 Pro fails to include a 3.5mm headphone jack, microSD card slot and wireless charging. On the other hand, it offers the fastest charging rates we’ve seen via an included oversized Warp Charge 30 adapter, in addition to the new stereo speaker system which boasts top sound quality to impress users.
One Plus 7 Pro Features
The OnePlus 7 Pro has a few surprises added on. The most obvious being its impressive all-screen front, unblemished by any kind of notch or camera. It boasts a stunning 6.67-inch screen ditching the bezel along the same lines as the Samsung Galaxy S10 and also gains a 90Hz refresh rate for a smoother gaming and scrolling experience. It hides the front camera using a unique pop-up camera, ideal for selfies - it will pop up when you’re using it and retract into the body once you’re finished. The second generation of the in-screen fingerprint sensor has also been improved to give more reliable access to the phone, with a quicker, more efficient response time. The OnePlus 7 Pro will dazzle you with its silky-smooth, truly unblemished all-screen display.
We’re not sure if the pop-up selfie camera is the future for the front camera, but it does seem to be on trend for smartphones of 2019. With concerns that the pop-out camera could be prone to damage, it looks like OnePlus also had an answer to that. In the event that the selfie camera is out, and you drop your device, the camera will physically retract back into the body of the OnePlus 7 Pro to ensure no damage occurs to the selfie camera. A very clever and innovative addition!
