5. Motorola Moto Z

The Moto Z is the perfect phone for you if you like lightweight phones with simple snap-on accessories.Despite boasting being the world's thinnest phone, it comes with a cost. A smaller battery and the loss of a headphone port could be an issue for some customers. Also the camera has a weird looking bump making the phone have a peculiar look. If these shortcomings won’t trouble you though, you will have a unique and innovative phone that performs well

4. iPhone 7

The new iPhone from Apple is faster and more powerful than previous models and boasts improvements to the camera and is now water resistant. If you like phones to have decent camera quality that is also effective in low lighting, then this could be the phone for you. With a lack of clear upgrades however, many people might be disappointed and the battery life is only minimally improved from previous models.

3. iPhone 7 Plus

The best iPhone currently available on the market, the iPhone 7 Plus contains a massive boost in power, is water resistant and boast TWO rear cameras for improved quality and depth of field! Despite using the same design as previous models and the removal of the headphone port this truly is a fantastic phone. If and wireless headphones are not an issue for you and you can afford the price then you'll adore the 7 Plus.

2. Samsung Galaxy S7

At first glance the S7 looks just like the S6 from last year but pick it up and you'll notice the difference. The rear of the phone now has a curved back, making it feel really comfortable in your hand and is now also water resistant. The microSD slot makes a welcome return after being dropped last year. The camera is amazing quality despite being lower in megapixels. You'll get brilliant pictures every time and is the perfect phone for any aspiring photographers.

1. Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge

Our winner this year though has to be the Galaxy S7 Edge with its crystal clear, high resolution screen, superior camera quality, greatly improved battery life and water proofing. It truly is a work of art and functionality. These improvements come with a cost however, making it more expensive but for those that can afford the price it is a phone you will be proud to have in your pocket.

UPCOMING RIVAL…..Google Pixel XL

Google's new device has a high quality display and a powerful processor making this phone great for VR and with the Google Daydream View headset coming soon this phone looks to be an all-round strong performer. The new software is so easy to use, with smooth and streamlined performance and a clear design. The camera is one of the best on the market and it also contains a decent fingerprint sensor to keep your phone safe. A short battery life, questionable design and lack of waterproofing let this great phone down slightly but they don’t stop the Pixel XL from being an excellent flagship device for Google.
