The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip is the first foldable phone to be released in 2020, with a 6.7-inch display that folds in half. Although this is not the first foldable phone that Samsung has released the Galaxy Z Flip is a very different concept from the Galaxy Fold.
The Galaxy Z flip phone folds vertically to offer a fresh full display. The design makes the device a lot easier to handle and fit into your pocket which is great for those with smaller hands! Once opened the Galaxy Z Flip is easily mistaken for a regular android flagship device.
The handset once closed also offers a very miniature 1.1-inch AMOLED cover display on the outside. The cover display does offer enough space to show incoming call, notifications, battery life and the time. You can also scroll through the small display to see your various notifications and they also have a feature that allows you to tap a notification which will be enlarged once the phone has been re-opened.
The handset includes a very small punch-hole selfie camera when the phone is unfolded which is 10MP. The handset also comes with a very slick slip-view user interface for multitasking with different apps and it also acts as a very useful tripod/stand for the device when it is half folded – making it the perfect companion for video chats.
The Galaxy Flip seems to represent a pivot in Samsung’s foldable phone approach. If this device has sparked up an interest it will be available on our website in the upcoming months so keep an eye out!
