As we all know, the World Health Organisation have now declared COVID-19 (or Coronavirus) a global pandemic. At 4Gadgets we are taking this situation extremely seriously, and we want our customers to know we are taking precautionary steps to ensure we are operating as safely as possible. We have put together a guide for our customers to give you as much information as possible as we try to navigate this tricky period.
As we deal in used tech, we take extra steps to prevent any possible spread of COVID-19. All devices that come into the building are cleaned with alcohol before being handled and when sales are made, all products are cleaned again before being bagged and shipped out. All our staff are required to wear protective items and have been supplied with hand sanitizer to minimize the potential spread of any infection, and are required to self-isolate if any symptoms of COVID-19 are experienced.
We understand that a lot of customers will be self-isolating, or extremely cautious of possible person-to-person transmission of the virus. As we use third-party couriers, all we can do is be as precautionary as possible for our customers. This is why we have removed the ‘Leave with a neighbour’ option from our courier DPD, to ensure that there are no risks of infection from parcels being left with neighbours. Also, DPD have an hourly timeslot allocated to all deliveries, as well as a tracking system that allows you to see how close the driver is to your delivery location, so you can be sure it is your delivery driver knocking at your door with your 4Gadgets delivery. All our parcels need to be signed for, so if you do not answer to receive the item then it will likely just be returned to us, delaying your order.
As a precautionary measure, 4Gadgets will no longer accept orders for “Collection” until further notice. All orders must be shipped out. Luckily, we provide free next working day deliveries on all orders to the UK mainland, so you won’t be waiting too long!
We understand that occasionally orders may need to be returned back to us. We kindly ask our customers to ensure any items being returned have been wiped down to try to avoid any potential spread of COVID-19. Please do so in a way as to not damage the device, any devices received damaged in this way will be considered to be warranty void.
